Discover Vatnajökull National Park
Vatnajökull National Park was established in 2008, and from 1st January 2025, it is a part of the Nature Conservation Agency of Iceland. It covers the entirety of Vatnajökull, large surrounding areas, and numerous municipalities. National parks are protected areas considered unique due to their natural features or historical significance.
