Geological features
Iceland's geological features include active volcanoes, calderas, volcanic crater rows, lava fields and shield volcanoes. Many formations have been shaped by the interaction of volcanic activity and glaciers, including hyaloclastite ridges and table mountains, canyons carved by glacial outburst floods, and glacial outwash plains. And, of course, the glaciers themselves!
